Seribu Islands People Given Water Rescue Training

30 Seribu Islands people were given water rescue training in the waters of Untung Jawa Island. It is done to improve the skills of citizens and anticipate tourists who need help.

This is as a form of readiness of citizens to provide a sense of security and comfort to tourists who visit

Windu Cahyaningsih, Section Head of Seribu Islands Welfare, appreciated the activities initiated by the Seribu Islands PMI. 

"It's hoped the participant can practice it in the field. Because Seribu Island is one of 10 national strategic tourism areas (KSPN)," she stated, Thursday (10/19).

She assessed, every weekend and national holiday, the number of tourists visiting the island is increasing significantly. It is expected the volunteers trained as water rescue, tourists can feel more secure and comfortable.

"This is as a form of readiness of citizens to provide a sense of security and comfort to tourists who visit," she closed.
