January-October, 17,092 Illegal Parked Cars Towed

Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub) intensifies its control towards four-wheeled vehicles that parked illegally on sidewalk and roadside.

This act is done to give deterrent effect thus road users will not park illegally

Since January to October 2017, there are 17,092 vehicles were towed.

January-September, Illegal Parking Fines in Central Jakarta Reached Rp 1 B

Jakarta Dishub Head, Andri Yansyah said, until October 18, there are 163,428 vehicles were controlled due to illegal parking. 17,092 four-wheeled vehicles of them were towed.

He added, his side has also flattened 45,464 two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles during the periods.

"This act is done to give deterrent effect thus road users will not park illegally," he expressed, Friday (10/20).

He mentioned, his side has collected Rp 7.9 billion from towing retribution fee.

"We got towing retribution fee from 16,966 vehicles," he closed.
