As many as 339 street vendors in the National Monument (Monas)'s IRTI will be given warning letter today or Thursday (6/26). This is because they do not have trade permit.
Head of Gambir Sub-District, Henri Perez Sitorus disclosed the warning letter is given to minimize street vendors or illegal vendors in Monas. "In accordance with the Public Order Bylaw, all vendors who do not have trade permit will be followed up," he expressed, Wednesday (6/25).

To control street vendors, he said, the second and third warning letter must also be given to them. "After doing socialization, there will be no tolerance for street vendors. We plan to control them after Presidential election," he explained.
Meanwhile, Fitria (38), one of vendors in IRTI area, admitted she has yet to know about the news of warning letter against street vendors by Gambir Sub-District apparatus. "I don't know, when they give the letter? But I support this policy because I am an official vendor," she uttered.
