10 Biopori Holes Built in Cipayung

East Jakarta Administration has developed 10 biopori holes as deep as 1-1.5 meters in the residential area, Jalan Assafiyah, RT 06/03, Cilangkap, Cipayung who had been inundated by the rain due to unavailable drainage.

"To anticipate the inundation, we make 10 biopori holes while awaiting the making of drainage and absorption well," said Iin Muthmainah, Head of Cipayung Sub-district, Wednesday (10/25).

Biopori Hole in Tidung Island Added

According to him, the unavailable drainage at the location is due to many of the residents who built the house by covering the drainage.

"We want locals to cooperate with urban village side to further discuss the making of drainage in the field," he stated.

RT 006/003 Chairman, Samin Siafudin admitted his side intends to add more biopori holes in the environment in accordance with the direction of sub-district head.

"Next week, we will do a meeting with locals," he expressed.

In the meantime, East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Head, Mustajab revealed he was ready to support the project. In the near future, his side will send a consultant to conduct on-site surveys.
