During fasting month, blood donor activity will be held at night after tarawih prayer. prayer along Ramadhan,” stated Head of Jakarta PMI Blood Donor Unit, Salimar Salim, Thursday (6/26).Even so, Jakarta PMI will remain open the blood donor service in the morning and afternoon. The current stock of blood is still normal in the amount of 6,000 blood bags that are going to be added until tomorrow June 27. Blood stock usually declines ahead the third week of fasting month since at that time many residents have already gone to their hometowns to celebrate Eid ul Fitr.

According to him, the residents’ need for blood supply could reach 800-1,000 bags per day. Because of that, his party targets to have 10,000 blood bags before Ramadhan starts.
