Funds Disbursed, City KONI Set Up Young Athletes to Youth PON

Jakarta Provincial Government is finally disbursing granted fund Rp 300 billion to Jakarta National Sport Committee (KONI) after had postponed for several months.

Thanks to the governor. Now we can prepare the athletes for 2014 Youth National Sport Week (PON) in East Java and PON XIX/2016 in West Java

"The fund is finally disbursed by the mid of June. Thanks to the governor. Now we can prepare the athletes for 2014 Youth National Sport Week (PON) in East Java and PON XIX/2016 in West Java," said Winny Erwindia, Friday (6/27).

The granted fund nominal is not in accordance with KONI's proposal by Rp 355 billion. In fact, KONI assessed that the fund is enough for implementing the program. "The fund is disbursed gradually. First step is Rp 200 billion," she added.

According to her, city KONI is about to simplify the management. It is based on acting Jakarta Governor Ahok and management's hope. The number of 77 officials will be cut to 60 people.

As reported earlier, acting Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama instructed Local Financial Management Board (BPKD) to disburse granted fund Rp 299.9 billion as sport development.

Basuki also complained of BPKD's performance which is slow to respond such matter. BPKD should deliver a letter or meet KPK to request for institution’s guidance or official institution of Jakarta Provincial Government which can or cannot receive social granted funds (bansos) which has procured in City Regional Budget 2014.
