Road Widening, Park in Tambora Demolished

To minimize traffic Jam on Jalan Kali Besar Barat, Tambora, West Jakarta, a circle shaped park on the edge of Jalan Kota Tua intersection have to be demolished for road widening . Since all this time the existence of the park is become an obstacle for traffic flows.
This road intersection is too narrowed, thus it can make traffic flows on the location are often jammed
Operational Supervision and Control Head Section of West Jakarta Transportation Department, Imam Slamet said that the park which is demolished in the middle of road intersection is conducted to widen road side to vehicle flows from Kota Station toward Jalan Roa Malaka and Pluit, North Jakarta. Besides of that, it can makes Transjakarta bus easier to take turn on the intersection.
“The effort is under Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama direct command. This road intersection is too narrowed, thus it can make traffic flows on the location are often jammed,” said Slamet, Friday (6/27).

“The existence of the park makes buses are difficult to cross, because the bus often stuck that makes the road jammed. It is hopefully the traffic flows become smooth,” Wahyu hoped.
