2,500 Ballots of Presidential Election in W. Jakarta Broken

Head of West Jakarta General Elections Commission (KPUD), Sunardi Sutrisno stated that as many as 2,500 out of 1,689,790 ballots for the upcoming presidential election are broken. Its broken is found after conducting sorting and folding process on Monday (6/23) until Friday (6/27) at the office of West Jakarta KPUD.

To smoothen the presidential election on July 9, his party will return the broken ballots to the Central General Elections Commission (KPU) to be replaced with new ones.

In West Jakarta, there are 2,474 polling stations (TPS). The ballot sorting is conducted by 150 people as well as supervision by 20 people and 6 police officers.

For distribution, he ensured all ballots will already be sent on three days ahead of the election.

"Today, we have started to distribute ballots to the level of sub-district, like Kembangan and Kebon Jeruk," he stated.
