N. Jakarta Manpower Sub-dept. New Office Construction Accelerated

The new office building construction for North Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Sub-dept. keeps being continued. The three-storey building project will spend Rp 31 billion.

Based on the information gathered, Wednesday (11/22), the building construction is still ongoing. The pillars in the corner of the room have also stood on the land located on Jalan Plumpang Raya.

Dwi Untoro, Head of North Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Sub-dept. said the main building is made into three floors as an office. And a multipurpose building will be made into two-storey and a canteen will be made into one-storey. Construction itself is carried out by Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Dept.

"As a building user, we hope a quick construction to be used soon," he stated, Wednesday (11/22).

He furthered, the old building built since 1975, its roof has been badly damaged by termites. It is also worsened with porous door and window frame. Not only that, the office space and meeting room is also narrow and so inadequate.

"It will spend Rp 31 billion. But so far we have received Rp 9.2 billion," he uttered.

Due to low budget, the construction must be sustainable. Next year, there will be an auction for the construction of new building projects. As for 40 percent of the building construction, it includes the installation of fences, installation of roofs, and walls of buildings that are plastered.

While the old building will be done the removal of assets and will be torn down. And its ex-land will be used for the flat construction.
