Parking Haphazardly, 55 Vehicles Have Their Tire Valves Removed

Raid against illegal parking is again held by the 15 joint personnel from East Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department and Kodam Jaya on Jalan Matraman Raya, Jalan Jatinegara Timur, and Jalan Bekasi Timur, Jatinegara, Tuesday (7/1).

In this raid, we managed to take action against 45 motorcycles and 10 cars which parked in forbidden locations on Jalan Matraman Raya, Jalan Jatinegara Timur, and Jalan Bekasi Timur

The situation had heated up when a car owner who claimed as a policeman did not accept his car’s tires flattened due to parked haphazardly next to Alia Hotel, Jalan Matraman Raya. But after getting explanation, he finally understood.

Head of East Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department Monitoring and Control Section, Budi Sugiyantoro, disclosed that illegal parking on Jalan Matraman Raya relates to the role of an illegal parking attendant named Pendi (50) who kept giving opportunities to motorists to park their vehicles next to East Jakarta Resort Police Headquarter. Whereas, the area is forbidden to park and no-parking sign has been installed.

Illegal Parking, Tens of Motorcycles in Tanah Abang Market Ticketed

“In this raid, we managed to take action against 45 motorcycles and 10 cars which parked in forbidden locations on Jalan Matraman Raya, Jalan Jatinegara Timur, and Jalan Bekasi Timur,” he stated.

All vehicles have their tire valves removed. In addition, the officers also ticketed public transports that trespassed TransJakarta bus lane corridor XI (Kampung Melayu-Pulogebang) in Balimester, Jatinegara. Those public transports are Mikrolet 27 (Kampung Melayu-Pulogadung) and Metromini 506 (Kampung Melayu-Pondok Kopi).
