Jakarta DRPD's Commission A, revealed Jakarta Provincial Government apparatuses such as urban village heads to mayors must prepare massive efforts in reducing the risk of flooding, considering the rainfall in Jakarta last few days is high.

Mitigation efforts must be intensified, particularly for flood-prone spots

According to Riano P. Ahmad, Chairperson of Jakarta DPRD's Commission A, the series of mitigation can be realized by deploying 24-hour officers. Officer placement, must be done to monitor the quality of the water channel to the water level.

"Mitigation efforts must be intensified, particularly for flood-prone spots," he expressed, Wednesday (12/13).

The officer placement must be done in order to anticipate overflowing waters of the channel and the river.

"I guess they have to make a picket schedule to do it optimally," he exclaimed.

By so, he hoped, those apparatuses could overcome the problem properly.

"Jakarta is currently facing extreme weather and early anticipation needs to be done," he stated.
