Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan disclosed all State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the capital to stop practice of illegal levies (pungli). If not, there will be strict sanctions imposed.

"ASN, stop any illegal levies. If you still do it, no more forgiveness," he expressed, at City Hall, Tuesday (12/19).

He asserted, sanction is not only about civil service administration, but also that can give a deterrent effect. Especially as the state capital, Jakarta has more responsibility to provide an example.

Therefore his party will continue to fight illegal levies along with all the elements incorporated in Jakarta Illegal Fee Control Unit (UPPL).

"Thanks to the UPPL team that has worked hard to fight illegal levies. We will also support and succeed this saber pungli program," he stated.
