Here Is Traffic Diversion During New Year's Eve

City Provincial Government is going to celebrate New Year's Eve in the capital through some events such as mass marriage, cultural arts and entertainment stage.

The New Year celebration will be centered at National Monument (Monas), Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jalan MH Thamrin an Sudirman until Dukuh Atas.

Transjakarta Operates on New Year's Eve

City Transportation Dept. Head, Andri Yansyah has prepared traffic diversion on New Year's Eve.

"We will apply traffic diversion during New Year's Eve," he expressed, Saturday (12/30).

He mentions, some roads diverted are Jalan Majapahit, Jalan Veteran III, Jalan Museum, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, and Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan. 

There are also Jalan Budi Kemuliaan, Jalan Kebon Sirih, Jalan Wahid Hasyim, Jalan Kebon Kacang, and Jalan Imam Bonjol.

"It will be applied at 5 AM-1 AM," he told.

During traffic diversion, vehicle coming from Harmoni towards south will be rerouted to Jalan Juanda, Lapangan Banteng, Jalan Pejambon, Jalan Ridwan Rais, etc.

While vehicle coming from Semanggi towards north will be rerouted to Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur or Jalan Galunggung, etc

"We're also preparing parking lots at IRTI Monas, Istiqlal Mosque, Lapangan Banteng and Senayan's east parking area," he told.

Then for Transjakarta bus will operate for 24 hours to serve and facilitate people who want to enjoy the event location.

"Especially Transjakarta bus plying Corridor I (Blok M-Kota) and Corridor II (Pulogadung-Harmoni) can pass through its routes as usual," he explained.

PT Transjakarta will also prepare the night bus services (Amari).

"The point is we accommodate the needs of people on New Year's Eve, especially on the big corridors including Ancol corridors," he said.
