FGD Related to Gubernatorial Regulation About Arrangement of Settlement Discussed

Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Dept. (PRKP) held Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to discuss Gubernatorial Regulation on Improving the Quality of Environment in the Framework of Structuring of Integrated Settlement Area in Jakarta.

This regulation would regulate settlement area in Jakarta

Kelik Indriyanto, Head of Technical Planning Section stated FGD is required to collect input from experts, academics, communities, related regional working units (SKPD).

"This regulation would regulate settlement area in Jakarta. To collect input, we want to form a small team. Thus it can be refined again," he expressed, in Jati Baru, Central Jakarta, Thursday (1/11).

City DRD Opens FGD to Improve Public Welfare

According to him, it is prioritized to regulate slums. One of examples that have been realized is row village. Later on, arrangement would be adjusted to the agreement in the field.

"It depends on a decision of Community Actiob Plan (CAP). Locals are also able to give input here," he told.

From this FGD, it is not possible the towers can be built in slums by using the concept of consolidation.
