Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan attends Gerebek Sampah held around Pesing Market, Kedoya Utara Urban Village, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, Sunday (1/14) morning.

We want people to be used to clean waste regularly

Hundreds of personnel from PPSU, West Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept., and Environment Sub-dept. are involved in this activity.

Anies has a chance to go around densely populated settlement by passing some narrow alleys and sign house inscription which is built through West Jakarta Bazis's Bedah Rumah program and RW 08 residents' independent funds.

Together with West Jakarta Mayor, Anas Effendi, Anies walks on Jl. Pesing Koneng or Pesing Market.

He mentioned, all human activities will produce waste. Everything will become energy and residue.

"After people using any items, it will become waste," he added.

Thus he affirmed the important of good waste management in order to create clean environment.

"It must be started from ourselves. Don't throw waste everywhere. This is our responsibility. We want people to clean waste regularly," he conveyed.
