Maritime Museum Closed Temporarily

Due to fire on Tuesday (1/16), Maritime Museum is still closed for public. Today, personnel clean the museum from debris.

We are waiting for police report, whether they need advanced investigation on the field or not

Maritime Museum Management Head, Husnisan Nizar said, his side can only clean the exterior part because there is police line inside museum.

"We are waiting for police report, whether they need advanced investigation on the field or not. If not, we will clean the interior part," he mentioned, Wednesday (1/17).

Sandi Wants Kota Tua Restoration to Be Realized Soon

Not only for investigation matter, he continued, but police line is also installed to prevent anyone to enter the burned location since it is dangerous.

"It would be dangerous if roof or other materials collapsed," he added.

Cleaning is targeted to finish in two days. It is hoped the museum can be opened on Friday (1/19).
