6,000 Sacks of Mud Transported from Akordion Channel

Freelancers of Kelapa Gading Sub-district’s Water Resources transported 6,000 sacks containing mud from the Akordion Connecting Channel, Pegangsaan Dua, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.

Cleaning itself includes nine crossing channels or sodetan connected with the Akordion connecting channel

Kelapa Gading Sub-district's Water Resources Executing Unit Head, Rukmana explained, 12 freelancers were sent to the field. They cleaned the channel as long as 200 meters and 2 meters width. It was done since last two weeks ago and finished today.

"Cleaning is already finished today," she stated, Tuesday (1/30).

She explained that cleaning was done to follow up locals' complaints last Saturday (1/13). They complained the condition of channel strewn by mud and triggered inundation when it rains.

During cleaning process, the channel was indeed worrying. From total depth of 120 centimeters, 80 centimeters of them were full of mud. 

"Cleaning itself includes nine crossing channels or sodetan connected with the Akordion connecting channel. They are six channels leading to Dance Connecting Channel and three channels of Saluang connecting channel," he concluded.
