South Jakarta Government plans to develop Gang Hijau (green alley) program in 30 locations this year. It is divided in 10 South Jakarta's Sub-districts.

South Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Sub-dept. Head, Wachyuni said, green alley program is the development of urban farming. Through this program, alleys in settlement will be planted with various vegetables, herbal plants, and productive plants.
"In 2018, we plan to add 30 green alleys in 10 sub-districts. Each sub-districts will have three green alleys," she mentioned, Thursday (2/1).

According to her, urban farming can become recreation and educational facilities for residents besides fulfilling their daily needs of fresh and healthy vegetables.
"Through green alley program, urban farming is contributed in food tenacity and create job opportunities," she said.
Not only for consumption, green alley's vegetables can also be processed into various dishes. Residents can
