KPKP Dept. Held Food Inspection in Five Markets of N. Jakarta

Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Dept. conducted food inspection in five markets in North Jakarta. Those markets are Koja Baru Market, Sindang Market, Lontar Market, Tugu Market, and Rawa Badak Market.

Jakarta KPKP Dept.'s Food Tenacity Division Head, Mujiyati said, 36 samples from agricultural, livestock, and fishery products were taken to be examined whether it contains of hazardous substances such as formalin and borax or not.
Food Inspection Conducted in Cilandak's Modern Markets"After examination, most samples of five markets are declared safe. Except jambal fish in two markets that contains of formalin," he said, Wednesday (3/14).
She explained, two jambal fish sellers have been warned and they also made a statement that they will not sell foods that contains of hazardous substances anymore.
Besides, those sellers also demanded to submit acceptance report (BAST) to officer regarding their hazardous commodities. "We take around two kilograms of remaining products and destroy it. Thus later it will be not sold or consumed," she affirmed.
