C. Jakarta will Hold Gerebek Sampah at RW 08 Duri Pulo

Central Jakarta Government plans to hold Gerebek Sampah on Jalan Setia Kawan, RW 08, Duri Pulo Urban Village, Gambir on Sunday (3/25). Its purpose is to encourage local residents to be more concern with its environment.

We have coordinate and prepare the location, including our plan to deploy 200 joint personnel

"We want local residents to be involved in this activity. Thus it will build synergy between government and residents," stated Bayu Meghantara, Central Jakarta Vice Mayor, Wednesday (3/21).

Meanwhile Gambir Sub-district Head, Fauzi added, this location is chosen because there are some clogged water channels in that place. Not only trash, but most of channels are closed by driveway and some of channels are also narrowed.

"We have coordinate and prepare the location, including our plan to deploy 200 joint personnel. Water Resources Sub-dept. and Environment Sub-dept. also deploy trucks to assist this activity," he mentioned.
