Rajawali Selatan PHB Channel Normalized

Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-dept. conducts normalization on Rajawali Selatan connecting (PHB) channel on Jalan Industri, Gunung Sahari Utara, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta. This 450 meters water channel will be dredged and its retaining wall will be also repaired.

It is targeted to complete by the end of April

Central Jakarta SDA Sub-dept.'s Maintenance Section Head, Boris Karlop Lumbangaol said, channel normalization is one of Development Planning Discussion 2017's proposal programs. Because this channel is often overflowing and inundating the area.

"Currently it has 30-50 cm wide and will be widened to 80 cm. It will be also deepened into 150 cm thus it can be functioned normally," he informed, Wednesday (4/4).

Jalan Permata's Water Channel Dredged

His side deployed 40 personnel and one heavy equipment in this project. Obstacle in this dredging is due to many utility cables planted in the channel.

"It remains 50 meters left. Especially we still need to make the crossing. It is targeted to complete by the end of April," he affirmed.
