When will these mud sacks transported? It’s been more than three days these mud sacks left piled here, makes people cannot pass on the sidewalk

“When will these mud sacks transported? It’s been more than three days these mud sacks left piled here, makes people cannot pass on the sidewalk,” complained Satrio (29), a pedestrian passing on Jalan Kebon Sirih, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (7/16).

Responding this matter, Head of Central Jakarta Water Management Public Works Sub-Department, Herning Wahyu Ningsih, admitted having difficulties to transport the mud sacks due to lack of transporter trucks in the field.

“Indeed, we’re having trouble to transport the mud sacks because our trucks are not much. We only have 10 trucks which operated each in eight sub-districts and two others are in sub-department office. That’s why we’re currently drafting budget to buy six more trucks,” she uttered.

According to Ningsih, due to limited amount of transporting trucks, themud sacks can only be transported in two or three days ahead. After transported, those mud sacks are usually dumped to Rorotan (North Jakarta) or Meruya (West Jakarta).

“We dumped there because those locations still have many paddy fields,” she stated.
