1,199 Tons of Garbage Under Wiyoto Wiyono Toll Cleaned

Entering the 19th day of garbage cleaning under Wiyoto Wiyono Toll Road, Papanggo Urban Village, Tanjung Priok, around 1,199 tons of garbage were successfully transported by joint officers of North Jakarta Environment Sub-dept., PPSU and TNI.

Garbage at RW 07 is denser. The whole cleaning is around 75 percent and targeted to be finished prior to Ramadan,

Tanjung Priok Sub-district Environment Executing Unit Head, Basrudin said, every day, 150 joint personnel are sent to clean up garbage under Wiyoto Wiyono Toll Road.

He stated, officers are currently doing garbage cleaning at the site under toll road at RW 07 Papanggo that reaches 300 meters long with a pile of heights to reach two meters. It has been done since six days ago.

Garbage Transportation in Menteng Re-scheduled at Night

Previously, garbage in RW 08 with 600 meters long were already cleaned. "700 tons of garbage have been transported under the toll road, RW 08," he expressed, Sunday (5/6).

He added garbage cleaning takes time, as it is done manually and minimal road access. All this time, garbage transportation uses motorcycle carts (germor). 

"Garbage at RW 07 is denser. The whole cleaning is around 75 percent and targeted to be finished prior to Ramadan," he stated.
