Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno along with Finance Minister, Sri Mulyani Indrawati directly reviews the revitalization project of Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta.
Sandi disclosed it is divided into three zones, namely conservation, sport and urban city. The conservation zones include restoration of the West Irian Liberation Monument, construction of a fountain pool, and amphitheater-like seat tribune.

Hopefully, it could also re-up the history of Lapangan Banteng and make it as one of the leading tourist destinations in the capital.
"This is very interesting. In the area, there will also be parks that can unite as interaction space. Jakarta has advanced into a modern city and can continue to meet what the needs of society," he explained.
He appreciates parties who have contributed in the project. Moreover there are many big companies participated in realizing it.
"This will be used as a showcase of government partnerships and business entities. The revitalization project absorbs about 700 jobs," he told.
Finance Minister, Sri Mulyani Indrawati admitted she was amazed with the steps of the city government revitalize Lapangan Banteng. The reason, within five months, a very significant change has been seen.
"We're very happy with the concept, very harmonious, modern, and also healthy. Thanks Jakarta Provincial Government, hopefully this can really be used as a center of family activity and love of our civilization as the nation of Indonesia," he stated.
