Ahead of Eid ul Firt celebration, small change service began to rampant in Taman Sari area, West Jakarta. They open the service along Jalan Kali Besar Utara or precisely from in front of Mandiri Bank Museum until Kali Besar Barat Bridge.

They provide banknotes, ranging from Rp 1,000, Rp 2,000, Rp 5,000. Rp 10,000, and Rp 20,000. "Closing Eid ul Fitr, small change service is indeed rampant here. There are 25 service providers and its existence will keep mushrooming approaching Eid ul Fitr," expressed Hasibuan (48), one of small change providers in Taman Sari, Friday (7/18).

Hasibuan said he prepares banknotes between Rp 25-50 million. Every exchange about Rp 100 thousand will be cut up to Rp 10,000. "We will cut 10 percent for exchange more than Rp 500 thousand and 5 percent less than Rp 500 thousand. Talk about profit, we can get five-fold than regular days," he told.

Similar statement was also said by Tado (45), another small change provider. He who is working as a motorcycle-taxi driver on Jalan Latumenten admitted he prefers to open the service ahead of Eid ul Fitr. "My profit will continue to increase until ahead of Eid ul Fitr. Every day, I can reap Rp 500 thousand. I'll use it to go to my hometown in Tegal," he uttered.
