S. Jakarta Deploys 100 Personnel For Odd-Even System Route Extension Trial

We deploy 100 personnel to socialize it to road users in several road spots

South Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. (Sudinhub) deploys 100 personnel in odd-even route extension trial in several roads in the area.

This system will be applied from today until July 31, 2018.

Here is Alternative Route During Odd-Even Expansion Trial

South Jakarta Sudinhub Head, Christianto mentioned, 5-7 personnel are placed in each spots. Those personnel job is to socialize road users about this odd-even route extension trial.

"We deploy 100 personnel to socialize it to road users in several road spots where the odd-even extension trial applied," he mentioned, Monday (7/2).

He explained, odd-even system will be applied from Monday to Sunday at 4 AM-9 PM. His personnel are divided into two shifts, at 6 AM-2 PM and 2 PM-9PM to give socialization on the location.

From total 100 personnel deployed, 52 personnel are placed in seven spots along Jalan Metro Pondok Indah and 32 personnel in  four spots along Jalan HR. Rasuna Said.

"12 other personnel are placed in two spots along Jalan MT. Haryono. While four remaining on Jalan Gatot Subroto," he added.

According to him, personnel will be placed in various spots such as on Ciputat Raya intersection, Kartini intersection, Metro Pondok Indah, Pondok Indah Mall intersection, Gandaria City intersection. Then Bungur intersection, Kebayoran Baru intersection, Pancoran intersection, Tendean Gatot Subroto intersection, Galunggung intersection, DR. Satrio intersection, Kuningan intersection and Tendean intersection.

Odd-even number can be known from the last number on license plate. Number 0 (zero) is considered even number. In this odd-even system, vehicles with license plates that end in odd numbers are only allowed to operate on odd dates and vehicles with license plates that end in even numbers on even dates.

This rules does not apply for vehicles of Indonesian President, Vice President, State High Officials (vehicles with RI plates and the bodyguards), official vehicles, athlete vehicles, and official vehicles with Asian Games sticker, fire trucks, ambulances, public transportation (yellow license plate), fuel oil and gas transports, and motor cycles that operated especially in odd-even area in South Jakarta.
