City Hall Building on Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta, now is equipped with drop-off and pick-up spot particularly for online ojek (motorcycle taxi) passenger.

Jakarta Secretary's General Bureau Head, Firmansyah stated, this area will not be only used by online ojek driver to pick-up and drop-off passenger, but also by delivery service motorists including food delivery.

"We plan to expand it thus it can accommodate around 20 motorcycles and make it more comfortable," he mentioned, Monday (7/30).

He explained, this policy is instructed directly by Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan to make online ojek drivers can be more orderly and not disturbing traffic flows while picking up or dropping off passengers.

"We provide this spot only to drop-off and pick-up passengers. So online ojek drivers shouldn't stop in this spot for too long,"

One of online ojek drivers, Syarif admitted this spot is very convenient for him.

"It becomes easier for me since I am often picking or dropping passenger here. I just found out about this place after being directed by personnel," he stated.

Meanwhile, Yaya, civil servant (PNS) of Jakarta Dikmental Bureau who always uses online ojek mentioned, drop-off and pick-up spot is helpful for her.

"It is helpful since I don't need to walk too far and easier to find my driver," he conveyed.
