Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-dept. continues to arrange river flows in Jakarta. One of its efforts is to put all river flows on its original function with help from several institutions.

We will do a study to make all rivers to be able to flow normally

Jakarta SDA Dept. Head, Teguh Hendarwan said, river arrangement is not only done ahead of Asian Games, but along this year his side will return all river flows in Jakarta to its normal function.

"We will do a study to make all rivers to be able to flow normally. Including water facilities and infrastructures in Jakarta," he added, Tuesday (7/31).

He explained, arrangement is needed to prevent sedimentation piles which contains of harmful pollutants.

"We want river flow to be functioned as its natural concept which is in line with governor instruction," he expressed.

His side ensures river arrangement concept in Jakarta is done together between his side and other institutions such as Ciliwung-Cisadane Flood Control Office (BBWSCC) and Jakarta Environment's Water Agency UPK.

"It is still on progress," he stated.
