City and Four BUMDs Plan to Develop Two TOD Areas

Jakarta Provincial Government together with four Jakarta BUMDs will develop two Transit Oriented Development (TOD) areas in Dukuh Atas Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Station and Lebak Bulus Depot area.
Those four BUMDs are PT. Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Jakarta, PT. Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), PD. Pembangunan Sarana Jaya and PD. Pasar Jaya.
MRT's TOD Master Plan Targeted to Complete SoonPT. MRT Director, William Sabandar stated, TOD in Dukuh Atas is still in area development planning stage. For its development, two TOD areas master plans need to be designed thus later it can be used as urban design guideline.
"For example, TOD in Dukuh Atas is planned to be connected with public transportation and equipped with pedestrian sidewalk, transport hub, and park in order to make it more comfortable for passengers," he explained, Wednesday (8/1).
He conveyed, concept design for TOD in Lebak Bulus is done by international consultant and it will be finished in one or two months ahead.
"The point is, we need to cooperate with different parties to build TOD in those two locations," he affirmed.
