Sandi Opens 2018 Flona Exhibition

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno is officially opening 2018 Flora and Fauna (Flona) in Lapangan Banteng Park, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta.

He appreciates the efforts and real work of all parties to maintain sustainability and beauty of the environment.

"This is part of the collaborative participatory concept that we want to present. Hopefully we can open public spaces for activities like this," he expressed, Friday (8/10).

He hoped that the event could improve the creative economy and facilitate the beginner entrepreneurs to open employment massively.

Meanwhile, Development and Environment Assistant, Yusmada Faizal explained that the event will take the theme "Synergreen", an acronym of Synergy Energy and Greenery.

This theme means the need for synergy between humans globally and between elements that exist on earth to become a unity of energy as a source of life, in creating a green, clean and sustainable earth.

"It's hoped able to grow public awareness and love for nature and the environment," he hoped.

It is also held to welcome the Asian Games XVIII and Asian Para Games III. Because, after the Banteng Field area is revitalized, it is also one of the new tourist destinations that can be visited by local and foreign tourists.

"There is a combination of historical, ecological and aesthetic values that are ready to be reintroduced, either for local tourists or foreign tourists," he stated.

As for the information, this year's flona is scheduled on August 10-September 10, 2018 and opened at 9 AM-9 PM. It will be enlivened by stands from five cities and 280 tenants of UMKM in and outside Jakarta.
