Central Jakarta Mayor Acting Head, Premi Lasari, stated that waterways and manhole covers along Jalan Sudirman-MH Thamrin must be maintained intensively. It relates to the finding of waterways and manholes covers clogged that is covered by soil around the HI Roundabout.

They are divided into 12 groups to do sweeping in puddle-prone areas

"Bina Marga Sub-dept. must do checking, as we see a lot of garbage and soil in the waterways," expressed Lasari after he led grebek trotoar in HI Roundabout area, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (8/14).

Ahead of Asian Games, Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept. Head, Sukowibowo stated that his sub-dept. has done intensive maintenance by deploying joint taskforces from urban villages and sub-districts. It will also be done routinely, despite the Asian Games has ended later.

"They are divided into 12 groups to do sweeping in puddle-prone areas. They will normalize waterways and dredge garbage and soil," he stated.

He added that some points such as Jalan Ridwan Rais and Jalan Letjen Suprapto, those taskforces will also repair potholes and damaged pedestrian.
