In East Jakarta 5,513 animals have been given anti-rabies vaccination from January to October 2018. Until the end of this year, government is targeting to vaccinate 5,600 animals that can transmit rabies (HPR).

East Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Sub-dept.'s Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Section Head, Irma Budiany stated, vaccination is given in 10 sub-districts. It is done to ensure Jakarta is free from rabies.

According to her, her side has vaccinated 5,513 animals consist of 1,450 dogs; 3,919 cats; 20 monkeys; and 124 ferrets. She plans to achieve the target by vaccinating the remaining 87 animals in this month.
