Approaching rainy season, the West Jakarta Mayor, Rustam Effendi is going to check water pumps in West Jakarta.

"I will check the readiness. All pumps must function properly. Besides officer readiness, it is also make sure the condition of the pump," he stated, Tuesday (10/9).

Aside that, the dam condition must also be well maintained thus it can accommodate more water.

"The dam must be maintained. Make sure there is no silting," he expressed.

West Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Head, Imron explained that there are currently 147 stationer pumps in tens of pump houses in eight sub-districts. But, two of them are still being repaired.

"They are located in Klingkit (Cengkareng) and Kedaung Kali Angke," he explained.

His party is also developing a water pump at Bojong Dam, Rawa Buaya that is the aspirations of citizens in 2017 Musrenbang.

He also conducts pump repair and sluice gate installation at Wijaya Kusuma Dam.

"We also buy five mobile pumps for sub-districts that need them to face puddles. It will be realized in November," he said.
