Pilpres Dispute Trial in MK, TransJakarta Bus Routes Shortened

Due to the sympathizers of president and vice president candidate number one Prabowo-Hatta Rajasa are crowding in front of the Constitution Building (MK) on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (8/6), the operational of TransJakarta bus becomes hampered since the road cannot be passed. As a result TransJakarta management had to adjust the corridors that intersect with this location.

“There are several bus stops that cannot be passed, namely Monas, Balaikota, Gambir 1, and Gambir 2. This adjustment is only temporary

TransJakarta Management Unit spokeswoman, Sri Ulina Pinem, informed that TransJakarta bus corridors which intersect with Jalan Merdeka Barat are corridor I (Blok M-Kota) and corridor II (Harmoni-Pulogadung).

For corridor I, TransJakarta bus route is shortened and divided into two, namely Blok M-Bundaran HI and Harmoni-Kota. As for corridor II, TransJakarta bus route is diverted to Pasar Baru-Lapangan Banteng to reach Pulogadung.

“There are several bus stops that cannot be passed, namely Monas, Balaikota, Gambir 1, and Gambir 2. This adjustment is only temporary. If the road can be passed again, the operational of TransJakarta bus in those corridors will be returned to normal. Our officers are continuously monitoring the development in the field,” she stated.

According to Pinem, her party has informed about this adjustment to TransJakarta bus candidate passengers in every bus stop in corridor I and II.

“We ask the passengers to understand this policy,” she said.
