Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan today is opening the 6th Pesantian and Geguntangan Cultural Arts Festival at Candra Prabha Temple, Jelambar, West Jakarta.

Therefore our responsibility is not only to preserve, but also to develop

He disclosed that Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to creating a comfortable and sense of belonging to the city for all citizens, including Hindus by facilitating all forms of religious activities.

"We want the people in Jakarta to have the same feeling that the city is equal for all, home for all, belongs to us all and is friendly to us all," he said, Sunday (11/11).

The festival like this must be developed thus they are not eroded by the flow of globalization.

"Culture is dynamic. And continues to develop. Therefore our responsibility is not only to preserve, but also to develop," he stated.

It also opens the opportunity for participants to come up with new ideas, creativity and innovations. Thus, it can develop over time.

"It is hoped able to run well and develop. Therefore I'm officially opening this festival," he uttered.

It takes theme "Through Pesantian and Geguntangan Festival, Let's Increase the Value of Art and Culture towards a Harmonious Life '.

It is hoped able to make diversity as glue among fellow Hindus and other religious people.
