Reported by TP Moan Simanjuntak | Translated by Nugroho Adibrata
The normalization project of Pesanggrahan River that passes two areas in the south and west of Jakarta is constrained with land acquisition. Of the total budget allocated for land acquisition amounting to Rp 250 billion, only 0.5 percent managed to be absorbed. As a result, the projects can only be realized on land owned by the developer.

For south and west sides, he plans to prepare Rp 250 billion to acquire the citizens' lands this year. But its absorption does not reach one percent yet because many citizens'land certificates have not in accordance with procedures. "In Srengseng, we just able to complete 9 out of 30 plots over land certificate and we will pay this week, as well as 8 out of 61 plots in Sukabumi Selatan. Then in Kelapa Dua, 46 plots have been inventoried and is not yet paid," he told.

For instance, only a few heirs attach signature, land certificate still girik (ancestral rights), etc. As for the land developer, is not need land acquisition process because it has become an obligation to provide some land for social and public facilities. Nevertheless, he is optimistic land acquisition completed in 2015. "We're targeting land acquisition in West Jakarta is completed next year," he asserted.
One of the land belonging to locals that has not been acquired in Sukabumi Selatan, RT 04/05, is land owned by the late Marhaman measuring 700 meters.
