3,070 Worker Cards Distributed Today

As many as 1,564 worker cards are distributed to residents who get salary based on provincial minimum wages (UMP). It is only symbolic of the total submitted 3,070 worker cards today.

This breakthrough is done to ensure that workers in the capital earning of the UMP can get additional facilities

In that occasion, Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan stated that those cards could be used to access Transjakarta for free until buying subsidized staples. 

Council Ready to Assist Worker Cards Socialization

"This breakthrough is done to ensure that workers in the capital earning of the UMP can get additional facilities. Thus they can live in prosperity," he disclosed, after he distributed the worker cards, in Kramatjati Market, East Jakarta, Monday (12/31).

Even it could also be used for shopping at Kramat Jati Jak Wholesale or other traditional markets at low prices. 

"We hope it can meet the daily needs of workers," he continued.

Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Dept. Head, Andri Yansyah stated that it is noted that 6,441 workers from 212 companies who get the card. But there were only 3,756 passed the verification process.

"Until today we have given 3,070 cards in five cities," he told. 

That means around 3,371 data are still in the verification process. This data will continue to grow in line with the continued additional data from a number of associations and federations of workers in the capital.
