Jakarta Environment Department Head, Isnawa Adji expressed that self-managed bantargebang has been operating since June 19, 2016 by improving facilities and infrastructures.

Later on, garbage would be reused through landfill mining techniques into a source of electrical energy.

"We also get support from environmental engineers from the Bandung Institute of Technology," he said.

As for the information, the List of Regional Strategic Activities has been issued as stated in Governor Decree Number 1042/2018.
