The South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Department introduced the profession of firefighters towards 36 students of Wijaya Kusuma early childhood education school (PAUD), Jatipadang, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta.

Ruwanto, Platoon Head of Pasar Minggu Sub-district Group C Sector IX said that material given is how to cope with fires due to gas leaks in gas cylinder hoses.

"We also teach them how to use portable fire extinguisher (APAR) and traditional tool such as wet sack or towel," he stated, Thursday (1/31).

For education, material is given through watching cartoons related to firefighters.

"It must be done early, thus all ages know how to extinguish fires, and our hopes can be shared to families and neighbors," he sta ted.
