From Last Year, Nakertrans Department Distributed 4,152 Worker Cards

Jakarta Government is committed to improve worker's welfare in the City

Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration (Nakertrans) Department cooperates with PT. Bank DKI to distribute 4,152 Worker Cards. Those cards are given in stages.

Jakarta Nakertrans Department Head, Andri Yansyah explained, last year his side has distributed 3,070 Worker Cards. Then 105 Worker Cards for workers at PT. Kaho Indah Citra Garmen, North Jakarta, on February 8, 2019.

Nakertrans Sub-department Distributes 437 Worker Cards

Next, 347 Worker Cards for PT. Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP)'s workers, East Jakarta in February and 437 Worker Cards to people who work at Central Jakarta Mayor Office on February 21, 2019.

"PT. Bank DKI also distributes 93 Worker Cards independently," he added, Monday (2/25).

According to him, Jakarta Nakertrans Department has received data from 526 companies with total 10,133 workers until this day.

"We verify worker's data first. There are 6,054 workers who passed the verification process until now," he mentioned.

He assessed, Worker Card is given to create a harmony and fair industrial relation by enhancing worker's welfare. It is one of government's programs in realizing Jakarta as an advanced City and make the citizens happy.

"Jakarta Government is committed to improve worker's welfare in the City," he asserted.

For information, Worker Card holder gets benefits to use Transjakarta bus for free, get cheap food subsidy, money assistance for their children education needs from KJP Plus. 

Workers can use this card to buy food with affordable price in 111 markets managed by Perumda Pasar Jaya, 110 RPTRAs, 18 flats, two PD. Dharma Jaya's Meat Shops, and established union cooperatives.

Worker Card applicants should be registered as Jakarta citizens and have maximum income equivalent to Minimum Wage (UMP) or UMP+10 percent.
