As many as 15 students of Public Junior High School (SMPN) and other students from other schools are participating in dance training at the Widya Bahari child-friendly integrated public space (RPTRA), Harapan Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands.
"We teach them Betawi traditional and other dances, they look happy," expressed Harapan Island Widya Bahari RPTRA Caretaker, Namiroh, Thursday (3/28).
Highlighting Cake Making Training at Abdi Praja RPTRAOne of trainees from SMPN 260 said that it is to improve her dance knowledge and experience. "Moreover, dancing is my hobby," she admitted.
Thousand Islands Culture Coaching Section Head, I Gusti Ayu Ningtyas uttered that it will be held until Friday (3/29). Besides dance art, there is also music training. Certainly it is also held in other regions.
"I see 15 students here practicing dance, 10 people join in hadroh (tambourine ensemble), 12 people join in marawis (percussion ensemble), and 25 others join in qasidah (Islamic pop music)," she told.
