Long Weekend, Number of Thousand Islands Tourists Increases

Thousands local and foreign tourists came to visit Thousand Islands through Marina Ancol Port, Kaliadem Port, Tanjung Pasir Port and Rawasaban Port since Wednesday (4/17) to spend their weekend.

On Friday (4/19), total 5,111 tourists of 4,847 local tourists and 264 foreign tourists visited Thousand Islands

According to Thousand Islands Tourism and Culture Sub-department Head, Cucu Ahmad Kurnia, 3,987 tourists of 3,773 local tourists and 214 foreign tourists visited inhabitant islands and resort islands of Thousand Islands on Wednesday.

Then it increased into 4,587 tourists consist of 4,323 local tourists and 264 foreign tourists on Thursday (4/18).

"On Friday (4/19), total 5,111 tourists of 4,847 local tourists and 264 foreign tourists visited Thousand Islands. Most of them stay on inhabitant islands until this weekend," he conveyed, Saturday (4/20).

His side predicted there will be more tourists who visit Thousand Islands until Sunday.

"Many people visit Thousand Islands because of its beautiful sea tourist attractions. Moreover it is not far from downtown area of Jakarta," he mentioned.
