Dukcapil Reaches 99.36 Percent of e-ID Card Realization Target

Per April 15, Jakarta Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) Department has realized 7,826,974 electronic identification (e-ID) cards for Jakartans or 99.36 percent of total target 7,877,109 people.

We will start our service in Pesantren this August

In order to reach 100 percent target, Jakarta Dukcapil Department's Population Division Head, Sapto Wibowo plans for conducting door-to-door service not only to schools and settlements but also to Islamic boarding school (Pesantren). He considered Pesantren is the potential location to optimize data gathering for citizens above 17 years old.

Door-to-Door e-KTP Service on Weekends Provided

"We will start our service in Pesantren this August," he asserted, Tuesday (5/14).

In the meantime, his side is still continuing data recording for e-ID card because number of citizens who are obliged to have e-ID card is increasing from time to time.

"We need to ensure Jakarta population register to be in orderly thus we carry out data recording continuously," he mentioned.
