Aliansi Masyarakat Jakarta (Amarta) Head, Rico Sinaga views Jakarta's theme for the 492nd Anniversary reflects about Jakarta's effort to be a better city by upgrading its infrastructure and non-infrastructure fields.

"The theme 'New Face of Jakarta' can be implemented by realizing Jakarta as an advanced city with happy citizens," he assessed, Wednesday (6/26).

He appreciates improvements in Jakarta such as the iconic pedestrian crossing bridges (JPO)s in Sudirman which are friendly for disabled people, revitalized sidewalks, parks, and many others.

"Especially improvement in transportation by operating MRT and LRT as the part of new face of Jakarta," he added.

He expects Jakarta Government can realize Jakarta's 492nd Anniversary's theme, thus Jakarta can be a barometer for metropolitan city, moreover as capital city. Besides, technology and information should be utilized well thus it can give optimal benefits for Jakarta such as efficiency of time, effort, and cost.

"Regarding technology utilization, I hope online system in new student admission (PPDB) can run and be socialized well," he stated.
