DPRD Members' Salary Reaches Rp 30.2 M

Various efforts conducted by people to become a council member. Besides being a member of the prestige council, its earned income is also quite promising. No wonder, the salary for member of Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) can reach Rp 30,291,320 per month and Rp 35,163,260 for council head plus official house facility. While for council vice head who does not get official house will receive Rp 45,161,920.

"The salary is not yet cut with the income tax (PPH). All salaries will be cut via PPH. While vice head's salary is higher than head, as the vice head to get an allowance in form of official house," expressed Secretary of Jakarta DPRD, Mangara Pardede, Wednesday (8/27).

Jokowi Hopes DPRD to Support City Programs

According to Pardede, salary for 106 members of Jakarta DPRD is in accordance with the Government Regulation No. 24/2004 on Rights of Financial and DPRD Protocol, and money received per month is equal to previous DPRD members.

He revealed that such salary consists of five components. They are representation money, post allowance, intensive communication allowance, operational allowance and housing allowance. He explained, representation money for DRPD Head will receive Rp 3 million, deputy head Rp 2.4 million, while members Rp 2.25 million. As for the head's allowance reaches Rp 4.35 million, vice head Rp 3.48 million, and members Rp 3.26 million, while for all DPRD members' intensive communication Rp 9 million.

"For intensive communication, all members will receive the same amount, either head, vice head or member," he explained.

While for operational allowance, the head will receive Rp 18 million and its vice head Rp 9.6 million. This allowance is only provided to the head and vice head, except council members. Meanwhile, last allowance is housing allowance, where vice head will get Rp 20 million and council members Rp 15 million. While its head does not get it.

"The head does not get housing allowance because has received official house which is located on Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Central Jakarta," he stated.
