185 Disabled People Facilitated to Get Employed

The Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Agency noted that as many as 185 Jakarta’s disabled residents facilitated to take job along January-August.

Those 185 disabled people were 107 people with tuna daksa (physical impairment), 14 people with tuna rungu (without hearing), 48 people with tunga wicara (speech impaired), 12 people with tuna netra (blind) and 4 people with tuna grahita (mentally disabled).

"They need the opportunity, we grant it. Hopefully they can live independently and improve their welfare," he expressed, Wednesday (9/4).

Those were sent to several companies, such as PT MNC Sky Vision, PT Trimitra Baterai Perkasa, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk and CV Pancar Prima Agung.

"We also hope that more companies will hire people like them," he hoped.

His party also provided training for people with disabilities who want to have work skills, with details one person with vocational cooking and six people with cosmetology training (North Jakarta); one person with vocational English and ten people with vocational computer operator (East Jakarta).

There were also four people with vocational computer engineering (Central Jakarta); one person with vocational cooking, one person with vocational motorcycle engineering and one person with vocational graphic design (West Jakarta).

"They attended training at the Regional Job Training Center and the Industrial Development Work Training Center in each region," he explained.

It referred to Law number 8/2016 on people with disabilities and Government Regulation number 52/2019 on social welfare for people with disabilities.

"We also refer to Gubernatorial Decree number 271/2016 on Organization and Work Procedures of the Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Agency," he stated.
