KONI's Financial will Be Auditied Deeply, AHok Says

As reported earlier, Winny Erwindia, a former Managing Director of DKI Bank who also serves as Chairwoman of Jakarta National Sports Council (KONI), was detained by the Attorney General's Office in Pondok Bambu Prison, East Jakarta, due to alleged corruption case.

We will audit (financial KONI) in the near future

Responding on this matter, Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama stated he has fully handed over the case to the Attorney General's office, that is by auditing KONI's financial.

Moreover, the KONI also received grant funds from Jakarta Provincial Government. In detail, last grant was received from 2014 City Budget (APBD) amounting to Rp 299.9 billion. "We will audit (financial KONI) in the near future," he stated, at City Hall, Friday (9/5).

Jakarta KONI Asked to Form Inquiry Committee.

The man who popularly called as Ahok was surprised when he knew the KONI Chairwoman has been detained in Pondok Bambu Prison. yet he already known the case before. "As far as I know, she (Erwindia) had credit problem in the bank," he exclaimed.

Nevertheless, he admitted that  the regional bank's performance was quite good. Even, he does not concerned with the various programs that run by Jakarta government and DKI Bank, like levy payment for street vendors and flat occupants. "We just want to work professionally," he said.

As for the information, Winny Erwindia served as Chairwoman of Jakarta KONI over the two period, 2009-2013 and 2013-2017. 

She who was born in Tegal, January 11, 1951, served as the Managing Director of DKI Bank dated January 13, 2003 As known, case of alleged corruption involving Winny Erwindia broke out when DKI Bank under her leadership to provide financial assistance to PT Energy Spectrum by Rp 80 billion for procurement of ATR 42-5000 training. 

However, until maturity, the company was not able to repay the loan.
