Collector Road Maintenance Process in Four Islands Reaches 25 Percent

As long as 17 thousand meters collector roads in four islands of Thousand Islands are currently under maintenance. Its process currently reaches 25 percent.

Thousand Islands Technical Work Unit (UKT) 2 Head, Sofyan mentioned, collector road maintenance is done in Tidung Island, Untung Jawa Island, Panggang Island, and Pramuka Island. This collector road maintenance project has been started since August.

"Until now, its process reaches 25 percent," he added, Tuesday (10/1).

He explained, 50 percent of building material used to repair the collector roads have been transported to the location. His side still has three months left to complete road maintenance.

In detail, there are 1,000 meters collector roads in Panggang Island; 9,000 meters in Pramuka Island; 2,000 meters in Tidung Island; and 5,000 meters in Untung Jawa Island that need to be repaired.

"We hope this project could finish in December," he stated.
