East Jakarta-Puserad Cooperates to Plant 2,200 Trees in Cipayung

East Jakarta Administration cooperates with Indonesian Army Territorial Forces Command (Pusterad) to plant 2,200 trees in Cipayung Sub-district, East Jakarta in order to commemorate the 74th Anniversary of Indonesian Army (TNI AD).

I asked East Jakarta Forestry Sub-department to take care all the plants

Symbolically, tree is planted in Setu Reservoir area by East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar and Pusterad Commander, Mayjen Arfi Rahman.

In this chance, East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar conveyed his gratefulness to TNI AD for promoting greening program, especially in Cipayung Sub-district, through this cooperation.

"This area is the lung of Jakarta and it needs to be taken care and maintained well. I asked East Jakarta Forestry Sub-department to take care all the plants, both existing plants and the new one," he said after planting the tree at Setu Reservoir, Thursday (10/3).

According to him, there are shady trees and fruit trees that will be planted in this area such as guava, acacia, tamarind, white teak, mango, mahogany, soursop, and matoa. He hopes Cipayung Sub-district could be always green.

For information, this event is also attended by Jakarta Deputy Governor for Tourism and Culture Division, Dadang Solihin.
