We improve bus lane road quality using rapid setting concrete at damaged spots
Jakarta Bina Marga Department Head, Hari Nugroho stated, his side improves bus lane in corridor 1, corridor 2, corridor 3, corridor 4, corridor 5, corridor 9, and corridor 10. This project is done within two months from September 2019.
"We improve bus lane road quality using rapid setting concrete at damaged spots," he explained, Tuesday (10/15).
Bina Marga Improves 14 Sidewalks in Central JakartaAccording to him, rapid setting concrete has greater quality than general concrete. The aggregate composition and addictive substances in this concrete material make it hard fast thus this work can finish fast between six to eight hours.
"Actually, some Transjakarta bus lanes have been concreted with standard quality and some were asphalt. But, if there is no deformation, those can still be used," he mentioned.
He informed, deformation means the structure underneath is broken or the top layer is bumpy or uneven.
"Thus we need to improve its qua
lity by scrapping it first then paving it with rapid setting concrete," he conveyed.
